Emergency Payments for EVCO Clients

6/21/2010 2:06:35 PM
We received a letter from Anthem BC that one of our groups from Costa Mesa, CA. was in danger in canceling due to non-payment. True enough, the Anthem Blue Cross website was showing that the group's premiums had been overdue for the last 41 days. They have not paid their October bill and was to be terminated from ABC's system at anytime. It was learned that their ABC bill had been going to the wrong address. I had to call the group’s contact person and put this to his attention. He then called back to notify EVCO that he did not have any intentions to cancel their group coverage. Thus, his only option was to make an over-the-phone check payment on the same day. Today, EVCO was able to assist him as we scheduled a conference call with Anthem BC to make sure that his payment goes through. An information change form was also completed to make sure ABC has his correct address for future correspondence and bills for the group. EVCO makes sure everything gets done in a snap if the situation calls for it.
